Bukit Daun Hotel and Resto: Hotel vibes, warung prices (!)

Visited my sister during her internship in Kediri and learned two truths:
1. I love siomay (no one asked, I know).
2. Food here is so cheap my Bali brain short-circuited.
Mom swore the restaurant at Bukit Daun Hotel & Resort was affordable. I rolled my eyes (hotel = wallet drama)… and then the menu proved her right.
Most dishes start around IDR 14k–35k, with imported steak topping out near IDR 70k–100k.
Kediri, teach me your ways.
What we ate
Capcay Special ~IDR 35k
Big, saucy, veggie comfort.
Clean plate energy.
Soup for Small 16k / Medium 31k
I think we had the small;
it still felt medium to my stomach.

Not a mind-blower, but for the price?
Respectable.

Sundae therapy. Instantly turns me into a delicate, girly flower. 🌸
The vibe
Outdoor seating, leafy and cozy. It was a bit noisy during a wedding on site (cute chaos), but overall the resort feels quiet and family-friendly. This is the rare “hotel meal” that doesn’t make your wallet cry.
Summary:
1.Kediri pricing = main character.
2. Solid, simple dishes; massive value.
3. Come for an easy family lunch and pretend you’re on a mini-staycation.
