If you vacation in Bali, you’ll need transport: mini bus, bus, taxi, car/motorbike rentals. No MRT, no trains (Jakarta might the first to working on it).

Which is why this train-themed restaurant in Jimbaran is extra funny: you won’t ride a train here, but you can eat in one.

Vibe & photo tip

Exterior: a train carriage façade: very cute, extremely selfieable.
Interior: not a luxe carriage; it’s a long, narrow dining room with tables and chairs.
Best time for pics: daylight. One person shoots outside while your friend shoots inside. (Important? debatable. Fun? yes.)

Gurame (carp) is reliable: tasty flesh, fewer spines.
Their acar kuning (turmeric-pickled style) was good.
Bright and appetizing.

Bill check: For 3 people (food + drinks) I paid Rp 346.500 after 10% tax and 5% service. For Indonesian dishes, it’s on the pricier side—you’re paying a bit for the theme.

Tips to “win” your meal

Come before sunset for the exterior shots and decent indoor light.
Order Nasi Bakar (+ Gurame Acar Kuning if you’re sharing).
If you want sweet-sour, Koloke is fine; skip the Spaghetti.

Remember the 10% tax + 5% service so the total doesn’t surprise you.
