playing Final Fantasy IX all night because Pokémon GO and my phone are not on speaking terms. (Sad yha.)
I decided on a Final Fantasy marathon since the last time I played these games I barely spoke English and thought “status ailments” were personality types. Starting with FFIX, then FFVIII, FFVII, and whatever my sleep schedule forgives next.
FFIX So Far (a.k.a. Disc 2 feelings)
I forgot how funny IX is. I only remembered the soundtrack and trauma seasoning.
Currently at Disc 2 and… I may have “married” Vivi and Quina to progress the story.
Verdict: iconic chaos.
Vivi = confused cinnamon roll
Quina = chaotic food poet
me = officiant against my will.

It’s nostalgia, yes. But also an evasion of adulthood with excellent battle themes.

Next Up: FFVIII & FFVII
FFVIII:
for the junction headaches and SeeD exam cosplay in my living room.
FFVII:
for the feelings, the materia, and to remember why I imprinted on low-poly angst as a child.
If I vanish, I’m grinding AP and pretending that counts as self-improvement.
Mini Log:
Pokémon GO:
uninstalled itself emotionally.
FFIX:
Disc 2 cleared zones; wedding officiated; pockets full of ethers I refuse to use.
Life:
pending until I defeat Kuja.
