Sunrise, Sleep Debt, and a Beach at 5 A.M.
7:00 AMGood morning (from the night owl who calls 9 a.m. “dawn”).
I finally have a 3-week break! Would love to zip to Surabaya, but my wallet said “character development arc.”
So: Bali, budget mode, and maybe… makeup content?
(lol no. not yet. future me can contour.)
The plan that shouldn’t have worked (but did)
We visited the Beach!
Beb was in town with a packed schedule and still made time to hang out (actual angel). We picked the beach because: Bali default.
Also because I’ve never caught a sunrise like a functioning citizen.
We met at 5:00 a.m.
I know. Growth.
The sky showed up
We were sure we’d missed it, but the horizon did its slow gold thing and I forgave every bad decision that kept me up till 5 a.m. on other days.
First real sunrise for me. 10/10, would betray my circadian rhythm again.
Beauty notes from a chaos blogger
- Makeup review?? I’m… not that girl (yet). Breakouts are currently directing my selfies.
- Best “filter” = sunrise. We took approximately 400 photos because science.
Breakfast of champions
Bought lumpia. Immediately ate lumpia. Immediately forgot to photograph lumpia. Please imagine a very photogenic, now-vanished lumpia here.
Current feelings
- Broke but weirdly happy.
- Miss Surabaya (soon, I hope).
- Grateful for friends who text “sunrise?” and mean it.
