I come back to Surabaya and suddenly there are fifty new cafés. Decision fatigue. We chose La Reia Cake & Co because I’d seen their cakes at the mall and curiosity bullied my wallet.
Vibe & service
Location: L3, Ciputra World, Jl. Mayjen Sungkono No. 77, Surabaya.
Look: simple-classy; very lady-time energy (soft light, polite staff, cakes displayed like jewelry).
Service: warm and attentive. Felt pampered even though my outfit said “errand.”
What we ordered (prices I paid; +5.5% service +10% tax)
🍳 Eggs Norwegian IDR 80.000
Tastes like a standard eggs benedict. Not bad, just not Rp80k-level wow. If you come for brunch food, temper expectations.
🍰 Mille Crêpes (the reason to come)
Red Velvet IDR 42.000 → star: tender layers, balanced cream, not over-sweet.
Baileys Coffee IDR 36.000 → nice, but Red Velvet wins on flavor and texture.
(I flirted with the Green Tea but took a break from my matcha era. No regrets.)

If you want a second slice, try Baileys Coffee, but Red Velvet remains queen.

Weekends = busier.
Come off-peak for the full “treated like a lady” effect.
