Went to Pomegranate on a short Ubud holiday with a friend. It’s not on the main street.
You’ll find it along Jl. Subak Sok Wayah, tucked in the rice fields like a secret level.
Getting there (so you don’t rage-quit)

No cars. There’s a narrow alley before the café; you must walk or come by motorbike.
The walk is actually lovely: rice fields, shade from trees, and a breeze that forgives your sunscreen choices. Consider it pre-meal cardio.
First impressions

Met a very good dog at the entrance. 10/10 would adopt (but I behaved).

wide views over sawah

Open pavilion with a cloth roof (?)

Where to sit (day vs night)
Daytime: best for views and fewer mosquitoes.
Night (my premonition): super romantic with candles… and then the mosquitoes clock in. Pack repellent if you value your ankles.

I used a wide lens so everything looks extra cinematic; sorry for the blur, it’s an artistic choice (it isn’t).
What we ordered

I was already full (we’d eaten 2 hours earlier), so we chilled and split a pizza.
Bonita Pizza IDR 58.000 (tax & service not included)
Wi-Fi was good (my friend posted our “we walked here” flex immediately).
The plot twist
We waited about 1 hour for the pizza. Staff said the oven was broken, then someone who ordered after us got theirs first. Character development achieved; patience unlocked.
Service & vibe
- Staff were polite; just unlucky timing with the oven drama.
- Atmosphere is relaxing, great for long chats and pretending deadlines aren’t real.
Pros & cons (quick scan)
Pros
- 🌾 Beautiful rice-field walk
- 🌬️ Breezy, open pavilion with a thatched roof
- 📶 Reliable Wi-Fi
- 🐶 Cute dog greeting committee
- 🧘 Perfect for unhurried lunch & conversation
Cons
- 🚗 No car access (walk or motorbike only)
- 🦟 Mosquitoes might ask you for a date at night, bring spray if you don't want to.
- ⏳ Potential long wait (our oven incident)
Tips if you go
- Wear comfortable shoes for the path.
- Daytime visit if you want photos; evening if you want candlelit vibes (and bring repellent).
- If the kitchen’s busy, ask for an ETA before ordering; grab a drink and settle into the view.
Anyway, I love to spend my time in here, I feel relaxed!

[Review] Selamat Tahun Baru / Happy New Year: Resolusi Nggak Niat & Etude House Dear Darling Tint (Real Red) Review
Halo dulu (ID)
*spoiler alert, broken indonesian, half otaku words, and broken english.
Tahun baru = tambah keriput + malas tulang (hormat dulu ke osteoporosis).
Rewind nggak ada, jadi ya sudah move on.
Resolusi gue? Makan tanpa mikirin timbangan.
Berat? Iya, literally.
