Touchdown, Java Paragon!

1:37 AM

It was morning. I had zero plans and a very productive stare.
Then my friends texted:

“Citilites tonight?”

Me: What is a Citilites?
Also me: Yes.

What/where (the fast answer)
Not a great citizen but GOOGLE would probably help us

One of the icon of Java Paragon Hotel and Residences is the Citilites Sky Club and Bistro which is the first and only rooftop restaurant in Surabaya. Located on the 21st floor with the most wonderful view of the city lights in the nights from the height. Offering fine selected regional and international beverages, snacks and pastries. Cozy stylish it is a setting for networking and meeting people. Citilites Sky Club and Bistro its majestic surrounding is truly the only place to see and be seen.

Citilites Sky Club & Bistro

The rooftop at Java Paragon Hotel, Surabaya, 21st floor. City lights, date-night energy,
“please act like you know where your elbows go on fancy tables.”

The plot (late, like my life)

I decided to throw a “surprise” birthday for a friend… whose actual birthday was in April.

Calendar said: That was a while ago.
University said: You were busy.
I said: cake fixes time.

Emergency gift logic
Limousine? Out of budget.
Cake? In stock.
Friendship? Hanging by a buttercream thread.

Getting ready (a horror short)

I put on a dress, attempted makeup, and made a peace treaty with heels. I’m from the “sneakers-and-escapes” school of style, so walking like a newborn deer was included in cover charge.

The vibe

  • View: Surabaya doing ✨city-core✨ from above.
  • Menu: Drinks, small bites, and the kind of snacks you order while pretending the skyline is a personality test.
  • People: birthdays, anniversaries, soft-launch situations.

Quick tips so you look like you belong

  • Reserve if it’s a weekend.
  • Bring a light layer (rooftop breeze = cute until it isn’t).
  • Shoes you can stand in. I mean this.
  • If your surprise party is months late, arrive with cake and confidence~ (the view will do the rest.)

Happy belateds and high floors,
ikkel

  1. umm probably you should add more info about places you've been to, such as the signature cuisine, the recommended food, the price and also some useful tips. well, considering that you call your blog as a traveler's blog. Just suggesting :)
