Sushi Homecoming 🍣

Back in Surabaya = back to Sushi Tei.

I still haven’t found a proper sushimate in Bali, so when I’m home, I beeline for salmon land.

Tiny facts that make me happy

1. Free ocha and yup, free refills. Hydrate the sushi gremlin.

2. Kaitenzushi therapy (conveyor belt zen). I heard Sakae Sushi is coming to Beachwalk Bali, so Bali friends. Soon you’ll get the belt too.

3. I… basically ordered salmon everything (the only non-salmon: hello chuka lidako 🐙).

Damage: ~IDR 200k (plus tax & service). Worth it for the fishy dopamine.

Ramen side quest (unsolved)

Still hunting a bowl that tastes like Japan. Hot take: the closer it is, the pricier it gets. Friends swear by Ikkudo Ichi (Jakarta), but I haven’t tried it.

Belum sempet ke Jakarta, apalagi ke Ikkudo. 😅

Post-sushi plans

If I suddenly show up online as Park Rae Mi, just go with it. Maybe I need a Japanese alias too… ideas? 😂

Rolling straight to XXI for X-Men because movie tickets in Surabaya are friendlier to my wallet than Bali’s. Priorities.
