7 Tori Samurai, Sunset Road: The Day Chicken Ramen Humbled My Pork Agenda

Hi. My name is ikkelio, and I used to discriminate ramen.

I believed pork or nothing.

If it wasn’t tonkotsu, I called it cosplay.

Then I met 7 Tori Samurai (across Pos Indonesia on Sunset Road) and got spiritually suplexed by chicken ramen.

First Impressions

Walked in on a whim (Google had zero reviews at the time).

Staff greeted me in Japanese, super warm. The whole place smelled like Tokyo memories—don’t ask me how; my nose said “valid.”

Kara Miso Ramen IDR 68.000

I went level 4 (level 3 is “normal spicy”). Smelled lethal; tasted glorious.

Tears? Yes.

Regrets? No.

If you’re spice-weak, choose life and go lower.

Torishio Ramen (Chicken Salt) IDR 65.000

Their bestseller. Clean, bright broth; the chicken is ridiculously tender.

This bowl bullied my pork bias and won.

Takono Karaage (Octopus) IDR 48.000

Karaage comfort with an octo-twist. Crispy shell, bouncy inside. Approved.♥

Tea IDR 15.000

Hydration between decisions.

Damage for 2:

~Rp 250.000 before tax/service.

PS: NO PORK anywhere and it’s still excellent. Growth!

Why This Hit Different

Broth clarity: Not thin—clean. Deep chicken umami without grease fatigue.
