Monomola “Sexy Red” Lip Tattoo Review
7:16 PMWhat it is
A peel-off lip tint with a thin, watery gel texture. You apply, wait, peel, and boom!
How I tested it
-
Hand swatch: watery gel that spreads easily.
-
Wait time: I tried the alleged “longer wait = longer wear” hack. Past ~30 minutes, I didn’t see extra payoff.
-
On lips: initial layer looks VERY red (don’t panic). After peeling, it settles to a natural, soft red.
Results
-
Color: fresh, natural red (not vampy).
-
Transfer: no stains on my cup of tea. Bless.
-
Wear time: solid for day wear; fades evenly.
-
Downside: leaves my lips dry without balm.
Pros
-
Cute packaging, easy to toss in a pouch
-
Natural, even stain after peel
-
Transfer-proof on cups (post-peel)
-
Surprisingly economical (10+ uses and counting)
Cons
-
30-minute wait (time is money, and I’m jam karet)
-
Can dry lips—needs balm support
How to apply (so you don’t rage-quit)
-
Prep: light lip balm, wait 2–3 minutes, blot.
-
Layer thinly: outline then fill; don’t glob it on.
-
Wait ~30 minutes: more than that didn’t help me.
-
Peel gently from the corners.
-
Seal: a touch of balm or clear gloss for comfort.
Tip: If you want a deeper shade, do two thin rounds back-to-back instead of one thick, goopy layer.

Who will love it
-
People who want a natural red that doesn’t transfer.
-
Minimal-makeup days or mask + coffee life.
Who might skip
-
If you need bold, opaque lipstick for full-glam looks.
-
If you hate waiting or your lips are very dry.
Verdict
Keep.
The color is pretty and cup-proof, but it charges a dry-lip tax.
(Just bring balm).
I’ll use it for low-effort days when I want “I woke up like this” lips and no mug stains.
